State’s Largest Labor Organization Backs Democratic House Nominee
The state’s largest labor organization, Alaska AFL-CIO, has announced their endorsement of Democratic House nominee Ethan Berkowitz. “I am honored to have the support of so many working Alaskan families,” said Berkowitz. “My family has healthcare because we’re a union household, and I want to make sure that all Alaskans, and all Americans, have those benefits and protections.”
“We’re proud to support Ethan,” said Vince Beltrami, President of Alaska AFL-CIO. “He has a long and distinguished record of standing up for worker’s rights, and we know he’ll take those values to our nation’s capitol.”
A state federation of the AFL-CIO, the Alaska federation is a voluntary non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and strengthening the rights and conditions of working Alaskans and their families. Widely considered to be the “voice of labor” in our state, the Alaska AFL-CIO represents and provides services for dozens of local unions and trade councils throughout the state of Alaska.
