Congressional candidates address voters

The race for Alaska’s lone seat in Congress made a stop Friday in Mountain View. Four out of the five candidates talked about immigration, healthcare, education and the economy at the Hispanic Affairs Council of Alaska forum. Congressman Don Young, who told the council he had a scheduling conflict, was a no show.
When asked about immigration policies in this country, Ethan said: “It strikes me this country can not come up with a solution to the question of immigration until we lower the tone, change the tone of the debate… As long as it’s driven by hatred and fear we’re gonna have a hard time coming up with rational answers.”
