FEC Filing — Berkowitz Starts Strong
January 31st, 2008
577 contributors and $124,201 in his first report
Congressional candidate Ethan Berkowitz today released his fundraising totals for the last two and a half months of 2007. Between his declaration of candidacy in mid-October and the end of the year, 577 supporters helped the Berkowitz campaign raise $124,201, with $100,046 in the bank.
“I’m thankful for so much generous support,” said Berkowitz. “It says that Alaskans are ready for new leadership in Congress and a new direction for our state.”
Of the 577 total contributors, 459 (80 percent) are Alaskan––and many more are former residents–Alaskans Abroad.
“This campaign is catching fire – it has support from people of all ages and all parties all across Alaska,” said Campaign Manager Charles Boyle. “We’ve got great momentum and, as Ethan says, we’re running a campaign based on what we’re for, not who we’re against.”
