Announces Support for Ethan
Today, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) added Ethan Berkowitz to their “Red to Blue” program for candidates challenging Republican incumbents. Congressional candidates earn a spot in the highly competitive program by running well-organized campaigns, meeting demanding goals and proving to voters that they will bring change to Congress.
“I am proud to have been selected from a strong field of candidates for this prestigious program,” Berkowitz said. “I am committed to open and honest government. I’ll bring the understanding of Alaskan issues and leadership experience from my ten years in Juneau to Washington DC.”
The DCCC helps organize local congressional campaigns, and their Red to Blue Program has a track record of success. In the 2004 and 2006 cycles, the program raised $30.1 million dollars for 83 campaigns across the country and provided essential organizational and research support.
Ethan Berkowitz served in the Alaska State House from 1996-2006, and was the Democratic Leader from 1998-2006.
